Baron Von Grumble


HE'S virtually a household name for motorcyclists, with over 100,000 subscribers on YouTube - but the true identity of the vlogger known as Baron Von Grumble has remained a mystery.

Until now.

BVG's distinctive voice was recognised by fans when he appeared recently on a daytime TV programme using his real name, to discuss a matter unrelated to his alter ego.

As a result he has been unmasked on more than one motorcycle forum, with users posting his picture as well as a link to his professional profile on LinkedIn.

On of BVG's best-known helmet camera videos sees him drop a GSX-R1000 in a watery ditch while inexplicably attempting to take it green-laning. He has also interviewed racers at the TT, including Guy Martin, while always keeping his own face out of shot.

BVG told Visordown: 'The whole thing is like a fun sort of game.'

He added: 'Most people in the industry know who I am anyway.'

Even though the information is already out there for anyone to find, BVG has asked us not to report his true identity. We're nice here at Visordown, so we won't.
