East Bay twisties and nice roads

Trying to find some good roads to carve in celebration of my break-in service (should happen at end of month).
Berkeley has some decent twisties but almost all have heavy traffic, are incredibly steep and littered with stop signs.

Any suggestions on decent roads to ride? City riding has been driving me crazy...

Redwood rd (between oakland and castro valley) and palomares rd (between castro valley and union city) are my go-to riding routes in the east bay. Really easy to just go from one to the other too since they both go into castro valley. I'll probably be there Sunday. Hit me up if you want.

I've been riding on Highland Rd and Collier Canyon all week. It's between Danville and Livermore. It's a good back-country road. The speed limits only 40-45 but you can have alot of fun if you go faster (ummm duh?). Not sure what your skill is, but it's the perfect road for me to practice on. If my camera comes in the mail tmrw I'll get it hooked up and make a video for you to see it.

If you haven't yet, search/join bayarearidersforum (barf).

There are roads EVERYWHERE out here. I rode Redwood, that was super fun. Good mix of tight and wide corners. Great practice for choosing lines, entry speed, etc.

I really enjoy Redwood road myself. I haven't been going much lately since I'm starting to worry more about riding alone in the twisties. Find a riding buddy to take you, it's safer!

Yup, riding buddy would be the best option. Especially since I don't know the road...

@tfkrocks Been busy with work and stuff, perhaps we can get an EB group ride before the summer's out. Those roads looks super nice, btw.

Pm me and we can go for a ride. Redwood road is just a slice of the great riding road pie. Oakland hills are fun to terrorize and I'll take you around Martinez and Crockett and beat up on motards.
