Front brake line routing with SS lines

My friend and I just spent about 5 hours replacing the brake pads and brake lines on my bike. (I replaced the lines with Galfer SS lines and Vesrah pads for the brake pads.)

We got the job done, but there's one thing that kind of bothers me. On the front line, there's a guide that is attached to the radiator bracket with a 10mm bolt. With the OEM line, there's a rubber grommet that is permanently on the line that goes in the guide. What I did was put the new Galfer SS line through that guide, but without any sort of extra padding. Is that okay, or should I come up with an appropriate substitute grommet?

When I installed my galfer line back when..what I did was get a razor and carefully cut the stock grommet off the OEM line and slipped it over the bracket/galfer line...I was worrying that the metal will rub onto the new line and that has been working great.

What I did was I carefully cut that grommet off of the old rubber line and stuck it back in the bracket and routed the galfer line through that. The galfer line is not nearly as fat as the stock line but this works pretty well...allows you to route the stainless line through that bracket without the metal bracket scraping up the plastic covering on the new line.

Yeah, I better get my X-Acto knife and get cutting!

Thanks, guys!

(Edit: The grommet is now on the new line.)
