Extreme Lean Angles

The guy riding the bike must be some old buzzard (he walks with a cane).

Sorry about the advertisement but the rest of the video is worth it.

Rossi can ride, even with a broken leg!

The gyro camera is pretty cool. I wonder how long it will take before the GoPro Gyro comes out.

wow that view is worse than the normal ass shot videos. why do people ever put a camera there? i can understand to work on body positioning maybe, but rossi's is impecible. worst camera spot for being viewed by others.

Anybody else think of House when he walked off with the cane?

That's really cool, I can't wait to see those show up in races.

The camera in the back would work if it was high enough to see over the top of his helmet. Frankly, if I wanted to see Uranus I'd get a telescope...

This is awesome, the bike is upright maybe 2-5% of the whole video. As a coaching device this is excellent. I could also see is as a cut away shot on tv.

Maybe...makes for some great shots when they have an off tho'!!

I think it was Pedrosa's bike a few races back that ghost rided it into a wall and the rear camera gave a great shot of it all!

They were using the gyro-cam on the back of Rossi's bike again today at Laguna during FP1.

It's unobtainable. Dorna builds all of their own camera equipment, and won't even sell it to other motorcycle series.

Not sure I dig it. It's definitely a cool perspective, but you don't really see the turns. You literally only see his behind.

You guys don't get it. The camera is for the lean angles, not to view the course or turns ahead. I know I get this low in the turns, do you? Maybe I should clarify last statement. I could get that low, right before I would crash. Maybe I should clarify that last statement. I could get that low and not crash if I had that bike. Maybe I should clarify that last statement. I wouldn't crash on that bike while getting that low if I had that talent.

Other camera angles should be interesting. It is cool to hear how smooth Rossi's throttle pick-up is off corners compared the bikes lean angle.

I wonder if there is something similar available out there as I thought I heard they have been using this technology on racing yachts for a few years.

Just finished watching qualifying and I retract my former statement. It was awesome in high def.

But I wish they'd put it on Stoner's bike as I always think he is about to fall over from the rear seat camera shots on his bike. Does anybody else think it looks like Stoner leans it over more than everybody else or is it just me?

I saw 70% on one of the videos. Astounding. I'm blown away. They have those tires deforming & flattening so much these days.

I watched the qualifying and I thought they did have one on the Stoner's bike.

Did everyone noticed how they ride those bikes like street bike and also dirt bikes. I love to watch the body postions from those camera postions. You can see them get off the bike and lean into the turn and also see them get up on the other side of the bike (like a dirt bike) before they bring the bike up out of the turn.

If anyone thinks it's easy riding a MotoGP bike, look at the hard time Roger Hayden is having. It must feel like you are siting on top of a guided (hopefully) missle.

Spies rocked, for all of you who are disfranchised about him. Even Deputy Dawg, I mean Scott Russell, thinks he's the man.

Still and all a disappointing US GP. I am already looking forward to Indy and (perhaps foolishly) hoping for a strong finish from US. Go Nicky!!

There was also a gyro camera down low pointing aft... Watching the bike's tail arc over the top of the frame was hypnotizing!

This is VERY VERY COOL stuff.
