Motorcycle Keyrings

Hey Guys i'm just writing this because i have been looking for a motorbike keyring for a long time. What i mean by motorbike keyring is one that can hold a few keys as well as my main Motorbike key WITHOUT scratching my bikes paintwork (it happened to my old bike and i hated the look of it).

And i finally found a place that had exactly what i needed / wanted here is a link and pics.
http://www.petersaccessories.com.au/Keyrings.html (or go to ebay.com.au and search keysafe keyrings)

I use a small caribiner that I hooked onto my jackets pocket zipper. I just unattach the key itself when I need it.

I have bunches of these detachable thingies on one bigger ring. Put the rest in my pocket, use the one I need. You can get them at Home Depot where they make key copies.

I use Woody's detachables... my bike key and kawi rubber fob on one end... and all the main keys and alarm fob on the other which easily slips into my pocket when I don't need them.

I added a cable lock key to the dealer's ring and capped it with a pen cap but, after 15,000 miles, some wear is visible anyway. After that many miles, I'm rubbing through the black on my bar ends too! The left one is turning silver thanks to my handlebar remote taking up a bit of rubber-room.

That's exactly what I use on my main keys. I did the same thing with the motorcycle side (capped a cable-lock key with a pen cap).

I have an alarm fob and then a garage door opener fob. For keys, I have my bike key, my house key, and the key to my disc lock.

Yeah I use a small carabiner as well, I just clip off the kawi key ring when I am about to ride and put the rest in a pocket.

I do something similar. I bought two of these double-ended things. House/office/misc. keys go on one end. The other end holds either my bike key or my car key. I swap them depending on which vehicle I'm using.

When on the bike, I detach the thing and just have the bike key and the little metal fob. The other half goes in my pocket.

The bike key end also has one of those plastic wristbands made popular by the Livestrong foundation on it... only mine is red and was given out as a freebie by Speed Channel at last year's Indy MotoGP. That makes it easy to slip the key over my wrist when I can't conveniently stick it in a pocket.

I need to pick up a keychain... I have forgotten the key in my bike once. Luckily it was at work and I remembered it right away and walked right back out to the parking lot.

I have a silly excuse for "no keychain"... I just haven't found a cool enough one yet. I was thinking of stealing one of my kid's Naruto figures. Made sense to me since Naruto is a young ninja in an anime series.

Something like this:

I did this on my last ride. Went in the Kawi shop for like half an hour. Came back out and the key is sitting in the bike.

The two guys I do my riding with (R6's) have these (red w/ white lettering though). They ordered the blue for me.

Ugh, I've done the same thing, AND have got nearly the same key chain!

Maybe it's a sign that we should both switch key chains!!

I have the boot. Works well.

I much prefer a rubber or soft plastic key fob to prevent from ruining the finish on the tripple tree.
