1st day I go to work w/o my 250 in 5 months & there's a new 250 in my parking space

What a strange coincidence. I have been commuting on my 250 exclusively for months and as soon as I run into trouble changing the tire and am forced to borrow my sister's car, a 250 belonging to someone else shows up in my usual parking space at work. I've never seen it and I couldn't recognize the employee in all his gear but I know it wasn't my coworker who said she was going to buy one (she got fired two weeks ago).

I bet he saw mine parked there every morning and was hoping to share a space/strike up a conversation, but he probably thought I wasn't at work that day. I was chatting it up with my relief before leaving and the 250 guy left before I came out. Missed him.

I saw a red '08 parked beside mine several times. Never got to meet the rider, I heard it was a she. I left a note on her windshield advertising ninjette.org but don't know if she ever joined.

Are you going through withdrawls yet not being able to commute on the bike?

Now there's another '08 CP Blue 250 owner. Last I checked, I had almost exactly 10x the miles on my odo (1,402 vs 14,200). He parks in the other lot though.

Securitas Security at Motorola. VERY close to the old Top Gun school location and the old Navy base though, which is now USMC MCAS Miramar. I see the jet fighters training constantly and it's easy to forget that it's a Marine base, not Navy or Air Force. I went to a family Christmas party at the same bar that was on base and in the Top Gun movie. Motorola's Sequence Drive and Top Gun are actually the same street.

Cool. I love that movie. I bet it was responsible for a whole generation of recruits.
