Fair point, but may be within the rules. Many dealerships do limit the amount you can put on a credit card, and some don't even allow you to put the deposit on a credit card, as if they do their agreement would bind them to allowing you to put the whole thing on the same card. In this case if they prohibit you from putting anything on the credit card at the stated price, it may be within the terms of their agreement. There's a cash price, and a credit card price, just like at some gas stations. It may very well be within their card agreement to do it this way, but only way we'd know is to speak with their processor.
But just like all of those signs that say "$5 min for credit card purchase" at many convenience stores or low-price restaurants, while it may be technically against the merchant rules; it's still pretty darned prevalent.

Its funny that was in the rhode island news recently. They said you can advertise a cash discount, but not a credit card premium. Symantecs I guess.
