Favorite Snacks...

Just wondering what everyone likes.

Personally I just can't find anything better than a cold Pepsi and a Grab Bag of Doritos!

Clodhoppers. I turn into a freakin train wreck around those things!

Chocolate chip cookies and ice cream are also favorites. As are most kinds of cheesecake. Ok...most kinds of cakes in general. Screw it, just put everything on my list.

Nabisco Sugar Wafers. Haven't had them in a few years as I eat one pack at a time.

Guilty pleasure snack = cotton candy. That plus mtn dew and I am on sugar high.

Consider that a blessing. One reason I work out and exercise so much is so that I can satisfy my sweet tooth and not be 300 pounds! lol!
Favorites? I LOVE to bake, so homemade cookies and candy are great. Reeces pb cups, ice cream, and M&Ms. Not all at the same time...usually.

Yogurt with granola in it. I know boring but when I separated last year I promised myself I would get healthy so in Jan this year I started a diet. I was 330 in Jan and now 9 months later I am down to 230 and should be under 200 by end of year. Any less then that and I would look sick as I have a big frame.

I don't even remember anymore... My New Years resolution for 2010 was to eliminate snacking. I have lost over 20lbs.

I know I used to eat a lot of barbque pringles, and chex mix.

Though I do snack at times I don't typically like to snack unless it is something healthy which is not all the time for me..
Thanks and i agree with you, i am about to start working out and get more exercise. I wanted to drop weight first and get a bit more healthy. I feel like a new person tbh and freaking love it.

/highfives fellow coconut hater! You ever notice how when you tell people you hate coconut they feel as if they can somehow convert you? It's always "oh you need to try this then you can't taste the coconut to much and it's tasty" what he hell is up with that? It's the only food people ever do it with when you tell them that.

+1 actual coconuts don't taste too bad haha.

I'm not fan of coconut related candies, but actual coconuts are tolerable.

I like an onion bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon topped with a slice of tomato with a cup of strong black coffee in a relaxing atmosphere like our local coffe house. Additionally having a copy of The New York Times available with some good jazz in the background, rounds out the whole experience. It's my Saturday morning ritual. Sometimes I get in a good game of Chess.

I prefer Lucky Charms and online poker to salmon and Chess on my Saturday mornings. Hey, to each our own! Sounds like a very relaxing ritual you have going on there. I do enjoy relaxing in coffee shops.

Pulled pork sandwich and Sundrop!

Not sure if you guys/gals are familiar with Sundrop. It has been a soda that in the past has only been available in the North & South Carolina's. They have announced now that Sundrop has gone nationwide. Try some at a store near you!

I used to drink 5 to 7 soft drinks a day and munch on all kinds of junk food. I stopped all this in November after my doctor's visit. She said my blood pressure and cholesterol is really high and was considering putting me on meds.

So, I stopped drinking soft drinks & eating junk foods altogether - cold turkey - and just snack on fruits and eat small portions.

Honestly, the fruits are so much tastier and I feel better physically. I've slimmed down around the waist area. I'm dropping weight but not as fast as I'd like. Just got into working out...so hopefully I'll drop a lot more or reather faster.

i agree.. i found out i was diabetic late last year. I cut soda and all the junk all together .. dropped around 15 pounds FAST by just eating the right stuff. I've lost 10 more by just keeping a good diet and working out when i feel like it.

its weird how much sweeter and better things taste when your not overloading your system with sugar constantly.

im also 86 days smoke free too.

I like sunflower seeds, beef jerky, sardines in olive oil, and mixed nuts.

I don't have much of a sweet tooth, but I am a salt addict. I read a yahoo article that stated that eating a lot of salt was not really bad, unless you had heart issues, or didn't eat much potassium. Maybe I should start eating more bananas.

I'm also a salt addict. My drug of choice: Korean Roasted Seaweed (Kim Nori). I'm not a fan of anything remotely veggie-like, but the stuff has this great salty taste I got fond of when I lived in Asia. Fact that it is filling, full of vitamins, no cholesterol and low calorie is a major bonus.

Snacks: Love Triscuits with EZ Cheese (sharp cheddar) on them. Mmmmmm.

On the healthy side, I do really like strawberries and pineapple. Dang those go good together. Toss in a little banana and it isn't half bad either.

Been trying to do the healthy thing. I'm at 180lbs and I would like to hit 170lbs by April. Lugging around 10 less pounds of myself would make the 180 mile bicycle ride much easier on my muscles. hahaha Anything more that is lost would just be an added bit of awesome.

So far I've been pretty good with my 30-minute runs. It is quick and easy and I can stay indoors easily while I do it (i.e.- no excuses).
