@kevheads did you cut the low pressure rear brake line to accommodate the rearsets or what? (I'm preparing to cut mine, 'cause I see no other viable option of putting them on without kinking the line). Cool pics btw

No, I have the rearsets set at the lowest/forward holes. I set them there mainly because of my rear hugger, any higher and the brake line wouldn't have fit under the front of the hugger and the hugger bracket is in the way on the shifter side. So no, I didn't have to do anything with the reservoir line. It does bend alittle towards the middle of the bike but has no kinks and has been working fine.

Sadly these are the best I have. I should drag my photographer friends out to take nice photos of my bike one day.

Sidenote: How should I cover my damaged paint? I was thinking: http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-Inch-BandA...item415e43734b

lol, the bad thing is i think that it would match ur paint job .

now as always any time i see monkey i have a barrage of questions. ive been meaning to ask, did you do that yourself? or did a friend do it? or did a shop do it? if so what paint did u use? or how much did you pay for it to be done? and if you did it yourself how is it holding up and did u use a clear coat?

The previous owner of the bike was/is friends with someone who owned a paint shop. I think around the time he decided to move on to a bigger ninja he lent it to them to use as a display model for their paint shop. So he pretty much got the job done for free in exchange for them using his bike as a display item for however long they had it.

It used to be an all black ninja according to the original receipt the PO had from the person he bought it from.

They used a couple layers of clear coat, and I think the paint job is about 10 years old so it's held up pretty well. Most of the damage to the paint is a result of heat damage (very bottom on the left side) which can't be seen unless you lay down on the ground. I have a couple of scratches from when I was rearended, but nothing that can't be filled in with a clear coat pen. the clear coat has saved me so many times when it comes to spills and leaks and I'll only have to use a clear coat pen to fill in the clear coat scratches.

When insurance came to appraise it the appraiser said the average custom paint job costs around 1200 dollars. I'm assuming that's for something as complex as this is though.

Yeah, I wish I could help you more but the PO didn't know too many details on the job

I've seen amazing (albeit simple) jobs done with spray cans and preval. I bet you and your friend could do a really awesome graffiti style paint job and then cover it in 2 or 3 layers of clear coat. It would be pretty unique

Thanks bro. It's the Sportisi headlight cover, just an add on and I'm very happy with it.

Does it affect your headlight beam at all and around how much are they. I hate the 250s old ass headlight style. You figure Kawasaki would just stop using it after it was a fail with the 650.

Nope, not by much. As you might have noticed, in addition to the covers, I've also tinted my headlights...so, in order to compensate (more so for the tint than the cover) I rock super bright 5000K HIDs

oh!...and here's where you can get 'em > http://sportisimotorsport.us/index.p...products_id=36

Thanks Akima! I'm rocking the Hotbodies GP style windscreen. It's sort of in between a real double bubble and the stock screen. I didn't like how tall the double bubbles appeared from the side, so I opted for this and I couldn't be happier. rating wise, I'd give it a 10, no doubt.

I agree about the side-on look of double bubbles. It changes in the look of the ninjette in a bad way. If I do get a full double bubble, I'm going to get a fully transparent one so it doesn't stand out so much.

Got a link for your hotbodies one so I can be sure which one it is?

You should post a picture of this bike more from a front perspective just to get a better look.
