Thank you, Having my dealer order one in, if he can't get the DMP I will see if he can get the rumble concepts bone series one. Pretty much the exact same thing.

Been hunting in Colorado when it was -60F, Have never felt cold like that before. When you would go piss by a tree it would freeze before it hit the ground. So cold your spine feels like its snapping in two

Got my gerbing heat jacket and gloves back from warranty work last night but had to leave the ninjette at home today and take the truck. I just picked up a 2-tier oven for my powder coating project

Going to wire it up and do my full exhaust as well as a few test pieces then tear it apart and build a motorcycle frame sized oven out of the parts.

I think I figured out why my new 250 doesn't start. The guy I bought it from messed with the idle air mixture screw/needles and supposively set them at 2.5 turns out, which he did not. Well the needle was protruding out into the carb air inlet. The guy did 2.5-half turns and not full 360 turns. When you do 2.5 complete turns, the needle should be almost flush with the carb air inlet surface. Super simple fix and I should quickly turn a fast profit. I just need to pick up a battery for the bike.

Either way, I stripped down the carbs and inspected everything. I can tell there was some old signs of oil fuel in the carb bowls as the bowls were stained and there was some build up on the plunger for the floats. Jets were free of crud. No tears in the diaphragms, needles look good although they're not shimmed (may just throw one or two in there). Main 98 jets and 38 pilots.

Oh and For some reason, I was able to pull the carb out with the airbox still in the frame. I guess its easier when the bike's still new!

Nice work Cuong! Make dat paper lol.

Finally was able to tune away my weird idle rev. Uploaded a new fuel map that should provide better MPG while still being buttery smooth

Thanks @choneofakind for that

Finally got around to cleaning the carbs on the new bike. As I was buttoning everything up I saw there was a little imperfection in the casting where the diaphragm goes over and immediately inspected the diaphragms for tears. Sure enough there was a tear but not where the imperfection was. Damn. I guess the previous owner did tear it trying to get the bike running.

Wow! Surprised to finally see aftermarket affordable diaphragms. For the longest time people resorted to buying replacement carbs for the diaphragms alone because it was cheaper than OEM.

I know! I was shocked to see these! I'll definitely post up a review when I get it. I'm also considering fixing my tear with some rubber cement or whatever it is they use to patch up tube tires.

Just ordered a 15t sprocket as well. Figured I go ahead and do this while I wait to get around to measure clearances on the crank bearings.

I had the Leo stainless steel full system and it just stood out to much so I did this.

This is flat black powder coat with the $60 HF system. I have a much nicer pro level gun be shipped next week and when it arrives I'll be re-coating the can a slightly glossier flat, the stainless mounting strap as well as the two riveted straps that hold the can together will be a semi gloss gunmetal, and I debating on wether to leave the rivets black or orange to match my rotors.

Powder coat on the header has about 700 miles and shows zero change in color

Started construction on my powder coating booth with air filtration.

Dude you can't even blink if you expect to keep up with my bike mods, my bike rarely goes a day without me removing at least a few bolts from her.

I'm all over it yo!! It's like playing memory. Eventually I'll see something I want you to replicate for me

So far I've been pretty good about keeping up with them.

Have you thought about asking Shadowracing dude to send you his OEM EFI setup? He said they were expensive, but that would totally make your bike the coolest street 250 ever. Even cooler than mine. Maybe.

I would love an EFI setup but my bike runs beyond perfect as it sits and I don't see any point in spending the money for it. I'm coming up on my second valve job in the next two weeks and I'm not looking forward to it it just a lot of work and I'd rather be riding

But his bike made like 39 hp (says he has a dyno chart for it) and uses a PCV. Worth it now?

Valve jobs aren't too terrible. I'm more worried about the thermo-bob install I'm going to do in the spring while I'm doing my 3rd valve job. I've only torn into the coolant system once. Burping it makes me nervous

Thermo-Bob is a cake walk compared to valves, but if you dread burping the system now just wait to you do the install. It requires you to get the bike to full temp before it burps the radiator so make sure your instruction include how to do that. I figured it out on my own and when I told Bill at watt man about it he was like "oh **** did I forget to add those instructions to the 250 kit"

It's simply quantum physics so you'll be just fine

When you do it hit me up and ill give you a few pointers.

Wait. That means it has to sit there for a while idling before it starts burping right? Is that going to be bad for my bike? Last time I burped it, it only took a minute or two before it started burping. Am I going to have to sit there for 15 minutes before it burps? That's annoying.

You could sit there for 10-15 mins letting it idle or you can take it out the the street and smoke the rear tire for 3 mins. Both will get you up to temp

I just had a new idea

Burping the motor is easy because of the bypass hose so the motor will be getting its share of water. Oh never mind my idea won't work if you plan on changing out your coolant for all new stuff which is always a good idea. Call up Bill and ask him how he burps it because I figured it out on my own and I don't even remember how I did it I'd just have to rethink another cool method on the fly.

Quality is about the same if not better! I really don't know what brand the stocker is to make an accurate statement.

Lubed the chain and clutch cable. Topped off the coolant as I have a small leak somewhere. Need to sort that leak out and do a carb sync next weekend.

Dammit! I was watching eBay for any pregen DB windscreen for under $50 about a year ago but I eventually tired of looking.

Was it from ZG Outlet?

I cleaned up the garage on Saturday and declutterized it. Moved the bikes aside to actually make more room in there. Also, new 15t sprocket came in.

The bad news is Left her at work and caught a ride home because she had a nail in the rear and only 5psi

The good news is this gives me another chance to use my patented tire mounting system to apply an interior patch tomorrow

Saw a bottle of sea foam on sale so I bought it. I've got 22k miles on my bike with zero carb or fuel problems, should I add the sea foam to my next tank for the hell of it or just shelve it for when I do need it?
