Colorado

Are there any members form the Colorado Springs area? if so take a run up to pikes peak and let me know how the bike performs. I really want to to the Pikes Peak Hill Climb someday, sooner the better. If you do it I can meet you for a Beer when i go to do the hill climb.

You may get a better response if you post this in the group rides section. Just a suggestion.

You might get a better response if you post you'll pay for the beer(s).

It does okay for the most part but I haven't been to pikes peak. Downhill will probably be really fun.

I'll point ya in the right direction maybe @spooph can let you know (if he replies to this mention or you can pm him). I know he has been to pikes peak.

Right; this are is the "local events / group rides" section. Anything that has to do with a particular geographic area goes well in here, including this thread.

@cbinker - the 250 is crap above 11,000 feet. I could barely get it move around Devil's Playground. It WILL make it, but with MUCH coaxing....

I've not had a chance to take the ninja up the peak yet but I agree with^^^ it would be power starved... But not to say it couldn't be done I've tuned several bikes that race the peak typically two stroke stuff and we jet em lean set jetting for around 12500 13000 feet they run lean at the bottom but make good power close to the top..... I'm sure if you really wanted it could be done on the ninja just don't think it'll ba a rocket ship up there...

My next door neighbor just hiked the hill. He didn't make it to the top. He got altitude sickness and had to come down a complete failure.
