Vinyl wrap on helmet?

Hey guys
just got me a new AGV K-5 helmet in all white. Love the price I got it for but lacking some style.. thought I'd get some vinyl wrap and do some design on it. Anyone have any experience with this? will the glue damage the polymer shell?

Thanks in advance!

wrap is tedious, time consuming and painful for a bike that is not round like a helmet. I could only imagine the pain to ensue attempting to do it.

Enjoy the fact that there's no standout design, so when someone gets pissed off at you in traffic because you somehow violated his secret rules, it's not so easy to spot you next time and get even. I like anonymity.

I work in a sign shop and if someone would pay the $100-$150 (and maybe more) I might do it. Now a partial wrap, or a couple of large decals or striping is relatively painless. I've done it to a few of my helmets. Doesn't really hold up and when removed may take some paint with it.

nothing good can come of this it seems.. just wanted to do some cool designs with it but maybe I should do simple racing stripe on my old helmet first.

This is why I have multiple helmets. Some for basic commuting. Others for dress & show.

First helmet I bought is modular HJC for safe course/license.. didn't think I was going to buy my ninja right away so cost over style.. which I now regret. Couldn't pass up the amazing deal on the white agv k-5 from local shop so I now have one matte black and one glossy white helmet. Next one will definitely be more graphic....

JUST to see how it might look.. took some paper and tape for a rough mock up.

I can see how it would be a giant pita to wrap the whole thing. Stripes seem simple enough and there's enough references out there. I took this design from Bell helmets. Not sure if I want it to extend all the way front/back but something to do over the long winter..

There was a guy at our monthly Bikes and Breakfast get together a while back that had a white helmet. He kept a black sharpie marker and let people draw on his helmet. He only rule was no Penis drawings. It looked pretty good.
