Bees and biking...not a good combo

I'm not sure if I should post this here or in general.
I ride my pedal bike EVERYWHERE to do every kind of errand. I was on the way to the gym today and ran smack dab into a bee of some kind. That thing stung the HECK outta my lower lip and left the stinger as a nice souvenir for me to remove upon getting home. Sux being a shut-in w/ a double-sized lip today.
ANYWAY, it made me think of a question. Have you guys ever had a bee get caught in your gear on a ride? I'd like to hear stories of how you reacted and quickly got out of that situation w/o panicking. Bees are my only phobia in the world...don't mind snakes, spiders, heights, etc, but bees SUCK. Today didn't help ameliorate the phobia in the least.

It happens from time to time. It's always fun.

I honestly can't remember if I've ever been stung by one while riding, but I have had 'em into the helmet and bouncing off my neck, into top of jacket, etc.

Thanks!

LOL! Thanks Alex. I'll blame my painful, venom-swollen lip on my forgetfulness of not doing a search on the topic first. Sorry! :-) Ally
