That would suck. I have heard of people hitting birds and it almost knocked them of their bike.

Wow, overreact much? Shoulda just rode through the thing. Bird probably weighs 3 lbs.

I think the article says he slammed on his brakes and the road was wet.

You can hit a small bird at a buck 30 and it's as much as you make it. You can also hit a 22lb turkey vulture at 65 with the same effects. Just ride through it and deal with the bruise later. Better than crashing.... ya know.

I got a cool story of being tarred and feathered to tell ya on Mon. Seems I attract flying critters.

EDIT: And for those who know me.... no, I didn't eat any of said critters. bwahahahhahahahaha

The guy I knew pulled over afterwards, caught his breath and rode home. He was on a cruise going 65 on the highway. He said he didn't ride for a few days afterwards and was scared to get on the highway.

While riding along at about 120kph, I hit a small bird so hard it actually knocked my right foot off the peg. That wasn't so bad, but my foot went completely numb and I couldn't feel the foot peg at all!
I had to pull over to the shoulder with my right knee crooked, and just sit on the bike for several minutes and wait for the feeling to come back into my foot.

Not much must happen there for them to post about a motorcyclist crash where nothing tragic happened.
