Passenger seat

Hey guys, I'm not sure if this is the proper place to post something like this, so mods please move the thread if it is.

I'm the proud owner of a blue '09 250r and I've started riding with passengers. The problem I'm having is this: The rider's seat is too long, and the passenger's seat is too far back. I'm not exactly... thick enough to make the "official" passenger's seat comfortably usable. My passenger is constantly slipping off the passenger's seat when I decelerate, and if I slide myself back on the seat... well lets just say the wedding vegetables don't appreciate it.

Any suggestions for me o wise ninjette.org community?

if you move back the veggies don't like it? is this because it makes you lean forward too much? how are you sitting on the bike? with your legs relaxed to the side? maybe trying to hold the bike between your legs with your thighs/knees to keep your valuables away from danger? not sure how you ride, but you should be able to move about quite a bit without damaging the goods, so to speak.

p.s. welcome!

The problem is in braking, passenger leans into me, I lean painfully into the tank. Braking very slowly seems to be the only option here, but its still rather uncomfortable.

right... how are you holding your legs?... are they relaxed to the side? or actually holding you and keeping you (and your passenger) from sliding forward?

They hold me still using the tank as a sort of grip, but it feels awkward for me to be so far away from the tank; there's a good 5 inches between me and it when I'm slid all the way back.
