Man that sucks!! I don't know what I would do if someone stole my bike. I'd probably be really pissed at first, then start crying. Haha.

I'm 106% sure I would start crying first.

LOL ya the first "mod" I did to my brand new bike was push it over in the parking lot to scratch up the fairings a little and bend the shifter.

This one time I went to Home Depot and totally left the key in the ignition by mistake. Came back 30 minutes later and bike was still there. My strategy worked.

You guys crack me up...

I cringe at the idea of hurting my baby. I have a "bait car" sticker on my Dodge and so far it's worked wonders lol.

Roughly an hour before work this morning, I was reading this thread. Little did I know, there was some hobo a-hole downstairs cutting the ignition wire to my newly tuned 2007 GSXR 600. Luckily the handy man pulled up to the building and spooked the thief before he could hotwire my bike. It hasn't been a week since I got the bike back from the shop. I got the bike chained up in the back now, but I hope he shows up again so I can stab him in the face. No joke.

Not cool.

My neighborhood isn't all that bad but all I have is street parking and since day one I said hell no to it. I have a friend close by with a massive garage he calls his bike cave and I keep it there. He has cameras at every angle (the guy has 8 bikes). It only costs me $30 a month plus the occasional 6 pack.

That's not a bad deal at all, especially for Seattle. We are lucky enough to have our own attached garage for our bikes. I get nervous having to leave her and go inside where she can't be seen though. Probably should invest in Lojack...

I got really lucky hehe. If you were in Seattle I would tell you to get on board with the cave parking, plenty of room left! Have a look for a car cover, I've seen them with police emblems on them - a cover with SPD on it might just deter the bad guys.
