Another Tires Question

So I'm getting ready to hit the track on 9/15 @ Thunderhill

Part of this process is getting new tires. I definitely got my eyes on the Bridgestone BT003 RS tires. I called a supplier who says they don't have a 110 front and can't order until 9/15, but they do have the 120 Fronts in stock.

Because of this, I'm wondering about going with a BT003 RS 120 Front and a 140 Rear. Does anyone see any problems with this?

Otherwise, I'm also thinking that if I can't get a BT003 RS front in 110, maybe I can go with a BT016 110 Front and a BT003 RS 140 rear. Any opinions or feedback with these options?

well looks like I'm able to get the 110 & 140 in the BT003RS from another dealer for a good deal.
Perhaps I'll be the first member on Ninjette.org to review them after my trackday

that review sounds pretty similar to what richard had to say about them.

if i remember right, he was saying that they seemed better on smaller, technical tracks, and not so good on the larger tracks with bigger turns.

i'm on the fence about trying them or not right now. i'm due for a set of tires, but i have a championship within reach. i'm afraid i'll switch tires and not like it.

I tried BT003 110/70 & 140/70 this last July at Willow big track. Rear is good. The front? All I can say is after I use my last new set of BT090's, I'm switching to Michelin.

is it ok to use the stock tires at the track ? I have 1.3k miles on them... I know its not optimal but is enough ? Does anyone think its ok to go to the track with my limited experience ? Im starting school so I only have a couple weeks or else it will wait for a while..

You'll be fine in the slow group. Don't worry about it, just go have fun.
