Not me. Work's too close (~200 yards) and the bike's too far (~7 miles) .

I'll be out of service for a few days, bike is running super lean and making the headers glow. I have no time to mess with the carbs. Taking her in for a re-jet and tune in an hour to PCC. Ugh my tax return will take a hit.

You guys may not be out, but I moved my bike to the Pitt garage today. First time on the freeway and the ten miles took only a few (exhilarating) minutes . Once I got it into Oakland I knew I couldn't leave it at that, so I spent another two hours or so riding around Shadyside/Oakland/Squirrel Hill. Stalled once, did a few not-so-smooth things, stumbled my way down a cobblestone road, and nearly fell down another quite steep one (then tried to get out of it in second gear. Dumb mistakes...) Had to finally turn in when I couldn't feel my hands. Man oh man if only it was warmer...

Though I did almost drop the bike at one point . Lost my footing and felt her going down. Was able to throw some more weight into it and pull her up without a scratch, but my back is now a little sore.

I'll see if I can upload a picture or two.

Do they have a very wide selection? I should check them out - I'm looking for a good pair of riding pants.

They have a very good selection of stuff for a smaller sized moto gear outfitter. Wednesday they are closed FYI, when you do go, as soon as you walk in and see all the moto eye candy, walk straight to the stairs and go up the steps to the next door on the right through the garage. The gear shop is up on the top level of the building.

I decided to take a ride today in the beautiful weather. Two close calls only five minutes out (rush hour...), and then a third fifteen minutes in, after which three GSXR riders with no gear (and helmets on the backs of their bikes) pulled up to me and told to me be careful.

Yeah, looks like I'm going to take a bit of a break as well...

I was at k-mart today and it looked like the den closed down, the pull down gate was closed at 10:30 unless they open later than that. (didn't go over for a closer look)

On a happier note , Got to put like 50 miles on my ninja today. Hope the rain holds off the rest of the week.

It was a gorgeous day. I couldn't pass it up so I put another 30 miles on the bike. Got lost a few times (in a good way). I think getting a talking to also helped remind me to be as aware as possible...

On another note: I'm finding it tricky to stick to the "outside-inside-outside" mantra around here, because I'm wary of taking a corner sharply due to the poor condition of the roads (the road under the Blvd. of the Allies in Schenley Park rings a bell). Is that just me being paranoid?

Good to hear you got out there again. To answer your question- no, they tell you that assuming road conditions are perfect or near perfect. Just pay attention and try to know the road. If you don't know the road, just take it easy and take whatever line you feel is safest.
