Yeah Bos - I should be in Knoxville that morning. I'll have to re-route it before trip but I'm pretty sure we can take the back roads, or even Blue Ridge Pkwy all way to asheville.

I figured if you wanted to, to ride to Hot springs NC, up to 209, it goes to Lake Junaluska, then some more backroads, or a quick jaunt over to Asheville on the interstate.

Anyone going from the northeast? I'm really considering making this trip now. It's about 12-13hrs, according to google maps, from NYC. I will be making a stop in York, Pa to see Mother dearest lol.

I'll take a look at that. One possibility would be that I leave from NYC early, stay overnight in york, Pa, then leave early the next day to asheville through DC of course

Might depend on if I'm riding solo or not which will influence my schedule. I might get a cheeseteak for myself but, who wants 1-2 day-old cheesesteaks? lol

Hmm...this looks interesting. Sadly I only have my permit so I'm not sure that allows me to travel out of state. It definitely doesn't let me do any night riding (which sucks when you work during most of the daylight hours all week). On the upside, this is only 3 hours away from me.

Sorry, I couldn't do a room just for you, your more than welcome to book you own room at the same hotel though, which are $68/night if you book it now, for a double deb room. Might be a bit cheaper for a single bed room.

You can meet us any of those days at the hotel in the AM at the very least.. Just come up any day you want and we will make room for you in a room if needed.

(I'm hoping to have enough points by trip to have 1 extra room for 1 night in case of emergency or we just get that many ppl).

Personally I planned on getting to Asheville around 2-4pm on the 1st and I will probably stick at the hotel for ppl to show up.

I wonder if Orboros is coming this year or not..haven't seen a post from him yet.

I did one for last year. I thought someone else would step up and do one this year. I can do a simple one, but I'll let every one vote on a directio of travel for that particular day. There are so many good roads to ride on, I'm sure most will have something they want to see or road they want to ride. We also have more than a few routes already laid out.

I think a 9:00 am meet up time and 10:00 am departure time from the hotel (Rodeway Inn & Suites At Biltmore Square (NC634) 9 Wedgefield Drive , Asheville, NC, US, 28806) everyday starting on August 2nd is good.

How does that work for everyone?

Also, Orboros sold his bike last year and I'm not sure if he got another one. I may give him a call.

I know I've been quiet. It's already been a ridiculously busy summer for me and doesn't look to be stopping anytime soon.

If I can get some time, I'll see what I can do about routes/plans, but no promises.
At the moment, my gameplan is to head down that way starting from Blacksburg in the wee hours of Aug 2, so I can meet you all at the hotel at 9am. It's a fairly straight shot for me to Asheville via interstates 81 and 29

Still no bike... and it's killing me.

I am considering renting a dual sport from GSM here in Townsend for a day and riding over to meet up with you all. I know its not a ninja 250 but damnit, I'm tired of everything sucking and I want to ride. If I am out riding for a day it might as well be with some "friends"

Here are my plans for the few days before official rally, if anyone is wanting to meet up and ride when I'm near their area....Hopefully, this will help someone even come ride for an hour if you can't make full Rally!

Tuesday 7/31 -
7am (CST) depart Murfreesboro, TN.
1st stop Sparta, TN, then on to Sweetwater, TN.
Arrive around 12pm (EST), check into hotel.
Then off to Dragon for rest of day, arrive there about 2pm (times are EST here on) and stay till darkness says to go.
**Would love to ride some Knoxville locals this day/night** **@oroboros : If nothing else u can run my bike on the dragon, if you meet me there**

Wed 8/1 -
7-8am Depart Hotel, this day (if solo) I will probably head south to Cleveland, TN. (hint @TheJimmyEnglish)
Take 64 towards 68 north, to Blue Ridge Pkwy.
Make another dash to the Dragon for a few passes, then off to Asheville (not sure on a depart time, or route, kinda depends on who comes out).
I do plan on being @ the Asheville, NC hotel around 5pm at latest. So if nothing else, those coming on 8/1 to hotel that's the time to meet!
From that point I'm taking it as it comes.....

Any thoughts or wants to make plans to meet plz post here!
Plz have a place & time in mind to meet.

Unfortunately I have to work. I have requested off but the store I work at is remodeling so that means I have to work every day moving junk around.. I am very annoyed that I have yet to been able join a Ninjette rally.

Make another dash to the Dragon for a few passes, then off to Asheville (not sure on a depart time, or route, kinda depends on who comes out). I do plan on being @ the Asheville, NC hotel around 5pm at latest. So if nothing else, those coming on 8/1 to hotel that's the time to meet! From that point I'm taking it as it comes..... Any thoughts or wants to make plans to meet plz post here! Plz have a place & time in mind to meet.
