Green aluminum parts are so uncommon that I think the materials are only available to soda can manufacturers or something. I've been looking too.

I have some copper-ish looking ones, with red slingshot preloaders on my lime green bike. It actually looks a lot better than you would think. Want a picture?

ano'd stuff is not paint... not even close. This info all comes from the grueling process of paintball stuff. Basically they have to open the "pores" of the metal with chemicals and use dye to make the colour you want. So you can get green its just a matter of getting someone to do it.

bottom of that page has a table of colours available.

I've given up trying to match kawi green with aftermarket stuff. It never looks right to me. So I just aim for black and it compliments/contrasts the lime green nicely. That's all.

I agree.

To further drive the point home, look at my levers compared to the color of my bike.

I'm sure he knows, he's just resorting to the paints that advertise an "anodized look."

He said "anodized paint," which is pretty close to what they call it:

I think he'd have to mix green and yellow to get the lime green he wants.

i was about to correct him but its just the name of the paint color.

the only problem with paint is that its not as wear resistant as anodizing.
you have to apply some other coating that provides protection, such as epoxy, if you want it to last.

Well, I'm finally starting to see several anodized green levers so perhaps the Chinese manufacturers are catching on!
