carb boots from head to Carbs are shorter on the newgens by a good inch or more.

The set i bought was supposed to be from a 2004 model.

why u buy 04 set for a newgen?

I was wondering about the side to side spacing.

Sort of disappointed. Bought the bike with the intention of flat slide carbs and nothing is offered except the TMR-MJN Yoshimura Mikuni's at about $1mil!

Maybe try sticking a piece of pipe in the boot and slip a coupler over the end of the pipe?

These should work fine with a little tweaking
