Headlight out

So... My headlights don't work.
  • Turn signals work
  • Tail light works
  • changed the "Head" fuse under the seat
  • Tried new bulbs

It still doesn't work, and I'm not really planning on working on it till I atleast have an idea of what may be wrong and where it is located (relay?). Any ideas?

Have a voltmeter? Any voltage coming from the plug?

Sorry for the many "minuetes" it took me to see your post

Fuse box: There is a 10A fuse (fed by grey wire) dedicated to your headlights.

Headlight circuit relay: It is next to that fuse box. Just follow that grey wire and jump it with the black-yellow wire to verify if the relay is the problem.

The headlight relay is the little box black square box at the back of the battery next to the fuse box.

No voltage from the plug, voltage from the fuse (hot side), and I changed the relay (one was the starter relay). What else do you guys have?

give this a read:

http://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=135883

headlight problems seem to be going around, I just had both low and high beams blow, and relay for fog lights go.

you're gonna need to test a couple things, assuming this is for the 250??

OP that link posted is my thread. I will be making a write up once I'm 100% sure the problem is fixed. As of right now I believe my headlight relay is bad and the reason my headlights aren't turning on. I did have other problems along the way... like a dead battery that gave me headaches (and is talked about in the thread, so you may ignore that stuff haha).

the relay i'm talking about is:

27002
RELAY-assy
27002-1086

If you have any questions about what i've done I'll keep an eye out here or you can shoot me a pm.

These guys are great and I'm sure saved me some $$$$ at a shop, but more importantly they taught me tons!
