Ic ignitor or tach issue and dealership

Okay so if you guys have read through my previous topic i live in so cal its been getting 110-115 here and recently my 2012 ninja 250 has been experiencing the rpm being off issue. Well with that being said dealership took the bike and where they are is not has hot is it is here so they are unable to replicate the issue. So they called Kawasaki up and they said give me a new tach so thats what they are doing. Now my bike is also loosing power when my rpms flip out (the bike is jetted and has a slip on exhaust) ill be doing 75 with a full open throttle. Now because they are unable to replicate my issue the shop told me that the lack of power is due to my jet kit and won't even bother mentioning to Kawasaki since they won't warranty it if they do (so they say). Is there any possible way i can get them to take the ic igniter into consideration? I don't understand how they can just pin the issue on my jet kit when that would affect power at all times not just when the bike got hot.

It's simple, put your bike back to stock until they fix it.

#98 Main jets (http://www.jetsrus.com/a_jet_kit_str...50R_Ninja.html
Stock needles
Stock exhaust
Snorkel & Airbox (if missing)

Just like you're asking for a solution to your problem. Ask around. I'm sure someones got'em, they may even help you install it.

If that's too difficult or inconvenient, These are your choices;
spend $200, get a BRT i-DTIS and call it a day.
A new stock IC Ignitor is $385
A used IC Ignitor (with potentially the same problem or worse)- $25-$50

Yes, it is a performance CDI/IC Ignitor. Google search the forum BRT TIS to find all the info you need.

There is a pre-programmed model and a programmable model. Both come with instructions. There is also a short video on the programmable model.

From the Sportisi website- "BRT i-DTIS (Intelligent Digital Ignition System)
  • Holds two ignition maps.
  • The programmable model includes a remote controller used to program the unit in 30-step increments.
  • Redline rpm can be custom set with the programmable model.
Caution: With this CDI installed, the sidestand safety switch is bypassed."

Thats what i kept reading about the BRT-TIS, but my side stand saftey switch works just fine with my BRT installed. At least i think it does, I Know it shuts off the bike if i put it down, i guess i have not tested if it starts with it down it' is just programmed in my brain to put stand up before starting bike.

Ill check tomorrow morning, but like i said, it definitely cuts the engine if i put it down while it is running.

Okay well good glad someone has installed them so maybe i can get a little information so bare with me haha.

1.Do i have to do anything other than plug and ride.
2.I run 91 octane nothing less so which mapping would i use?
3. I have a jet kit and aftermarket exhaust, does this effect anything?
4. I read on here some guy said to tell the seller to set it 3-4 degrees advanced, whats this mean?
5. Will it fit under the seat i hear people saying its bulky.
6.Do i need to get the programmable one or is the regular one fine?
7. whats the difference between this and say a power comander (Yes ima big noob)
8. Before i drop the 200 how can i be sure its the cdi unit?

My dealer ship said because i have the jet kit they aren't going to bother telling Kawasaki about the lack of power and they are just blaming my jet kit on the issue.
Also I don't get the ordering from that site they don't have a set shipping cost they ask you to put one in? i can chose to pay 2000 dollars for shipping if i wanted to wth?!

From what I hear, the new improved ones put the cut off feature back in it along with less advance at idle speed.
