Hi! I'm new here

Hey guys,

I just signed up for this forum as it seems it's full of friendly people and useful information.

I'm the proud new owner of an '08 Ninja 250 and I've got a whopping 47 miles of riding experience under my belt as of this post.

Hello Andrew, nice to meet you.

Always assume all other drivers will do the wrong thing whenever possible, and that every turn and hilltop has a stopped vehicle, or oil slick, or thick layer of grass clippings just out of sight.

Welcome, here are just a few things to think about,

1.Get trained and licensed MSF Courses

2.ALWAYS Wear protective gear -- ATGATT All The Gear, All The Time -- including a helmet manufactured to the standards set by a government agency.

3.ALWAYS Ride unimpaired by alcohol or other drugs

4.ALWAYS Ride within your own skill limits and road conditions.

5.Be a lifelong learner by taking refresher rider courses, and advanced rider course A.R.C.

A.T.G.A.T.T. so I may ride another day.

I definitely will wear my gear all the time. The only thing I don't have yet are some good riding pants but they're definitely on my shopping list.

Thank you all very much for the kind words and very helpful advice.

Reinforced jeans aren't too bad, but when I got a pair of leather track pants on sale, and crashed on them on the supermoto track, I couldn't believe the way it felt like I fell in a pile of feathers. Now I almost always wear the leather pants, even if it's going to look stupid at my destination.
