Need opinions on yoshi r77 slip on
I would like a louder exhaust but not obnoxiously loud... I was thinking about picking up a yoshi r77 slip on.. But I keep thinking "is it worth it?"
I'm not looking for Performance so full exhaust and tunes do not interest me at all.. I plan on riding the 300 for a year or 2 and then purchasing a super sport, so I don't want to put a lot of money into this bike as of right now.. I love 300 the way it sits, just wish it had a more aggressive sound. I just want a better sound without losing power... Is it possible to not lose power after installing a yoshi r77 slip on with no other mods? If not, how bad/noticeable is the loss of power? Thanks. |

You will lose weight at least, and sound better.
AreaP full with tuner here so I'm no slip on expert

i put shorty gp exhaust on mine and didnt feel any loss of power. it actually felt faster, but thats most likely due to me changing out the crappy oil the previous owner put in and then filled it with T6. bike even shifter smoother with the T6.
but to answer your question, only you can answer it. lol. "is it worth the price to YOU for the sound?" |

I loved my carbon yoshi can on the ninja, looked great and it sounded like I was "racing" everywhere.

Yoshi slip on=
Looks= good Weight=lighter Sound=better Tune needed= bike runs lean from the factory, exhaust leans it out more usually, does it have to be tuned... No Worth it=your decision

From what I've observed at track days/races, Yosh tends to be on the quieter, lower pitched side for performance exhausts. The CF ones in particular have a nice low pitch rumble at idle and manage not to be too brassy when revved. I had one on my SV and loved it. I might get one eventually for my track bike, although I'll probably go SS for durability if I do.
As for tuning, it'll probably run ok without. Maybe get one of those cheap FI tweakers that have 3 potentiometers for low/med/high revs and butt-dyno it?
