Leaking Carb

I have a 2012 250r and just did a carb rebuild kit, I just put it back on with the fuel tank just to find out that I have a leak. After some investigation I found it to be leaking on the left side where the pilot air screw is. It seems to looks slightly different compared to the other side. Can those holes be "bored" to clean them up, or am i missing something that would still be causing a leak?

Thanks

Before condemning the pilot screw....be certain that the fuel is not migrating from elsewhere. A rail oring(s), a bowl seal or a failed float valve all need to be eliminated.

This is where a "wet test" on the bench is so valuable in diagnosing, pinpointing and saving R & R time.

Hi Nick, welcome to Ninjette!

Did your carb rebuild kit come with all new jets and pilot screws?
Did it come with new O-rings, washers and springs for pilot-screws?

Those items really should be replaced when rebuilding. You might be missing spring or O-ring on that one pilot-screw that's leaking. Or parts were re-assemble in wrong order.
