Looks like a great bike in good condition. See if he's got any maintenance records, etc. Personally, I'd buy it. With that price and the condition it's in, I don't know why you're asking us and not already looking at it.

all stock other than exhaust? seems like a fair price

I paid 3K even for my 09, but it had 2800 miles. Also mine included delivery (about 60 miles).

Is that the going rate for your geographic area? If so, and if the maintenance has been well done, that's a good price.

I think its a fair price, but I would try to come down to $2500… Prices will fall in winter.
