Ugh!
Yesterday the wife and I were out riding our bicycles and I saw something that made me do a double take and then get angry.
There was a guy on this big cruser riding with his wife/girlfriend on the back. What made me take notice was what was in front of him on the back of the tank....... There sat a 3-4 year old little girl in pink shorts, tee shirt and pink bicycle helmet!!!!!! I'm sorry, but what a stupid S.O.B |

I don't care what adults do but when you put a child in danger that's where I draw the line and would have called the cops to pull them over.

Brilliance at its finest!!!!!! You know for a fact, not trying to be an Ass here, but if that bike goes down, the girl will land under it and get killed, while the 2 dumbass adults stand there uninjured wondering what went wrong. I completely agree with you getting angry Snake. Where has common sense gone?????

We should rejoice that there is still a sport in the nanny state that kills the stupid and allows the smart some selective advantage. Long live motorcycling!

I have to add that I'm such a bad parent that I let them rider their own motorcycle at 3 also. I'm only telling you this because I believe I'm past the point where I can get arrested for child abuse.

I dont have a problem with kids riding on the bikes..so long as they have the safety gear. Which would include a real helmet, and proper riding attire.
And many states have mandatory gear requirements for riders under a certain age. |

What an idiot family guy he is. I would never ride my girls on the front of any bike except for a mini bike and they would have to have full gear on. I remember riding behind my dad as a kid, but I was well over 6 because I had my own mini bike at the time, and He always had me wear a helmet, boots, jeans and a jacket..this was back in the 70's.

I was heading down to the casino in Connecticut last week from my home in Massachusetts. Once over the border, 3 Harleys riden by old fat guys roared by me on the highway. None of them wearing helmets. I keep forgetting that Connecticut and Rhode Island to the south and New Hampshire to the north have no helmet laws, but it still surprises me every time I go to one of those states and see anyone still dumb enough to ride without a helmet.
Maybe they think they look like renegades without them, or it enhances their Harley-rider image, but these days the reaction is more "what a stupid thing to do." |

I don't know about you people but when I pay $600 or $700 for a helmet the last thing I want to do is get a scratch on it.

If the bag is black and you wore it over your helmet with just a small opening for the eyes you could consider yourself a ninja.

Haha, I was going to say the wife's hand isn't around her husband's waist and she really should shave before going out for a ride.

I wonder why no motorcycle manufacturers market a 7 seat motorcycle.

No way. Those Indians know how to keep their money and take all of yours too. At least cell phone use is banned in CT too, so none of the helmetless Harley riders was on the phone too.

Actually the Indians lost their shirt the first few years. They had to bring in Vegas to show them the ropes.

Wow...I'm glad we go out of our way to make certain our son is safe when he rides with us. He wears a jacket, helmet, and gloves. Plus we have a belt with handles that he holds onto instead of our waists.
Come to think of it, he's usually on my gfriends bike, since she has a back seat rest. I don't think I'll be comfortable with passengers let alone our kid for some time. |
