Why can't I find brown motorcycle shoes anywhere?

I have boots that I like, I wear them on my commute and any fun rides.

I've been trying to find something that is more comfortable to wear for when I ride to school (10 min from my house), etc.

I found these, which look perfect: http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/s...k-9-moto-shoes
but they're stocked out everywhere.

I can't find another similar shoe that's brown and it's driving me crazy.

You didn't mention your size, but amazon has some size 12 available.

Apologies. I'm a little color blind and the picture that first shows on your link matches the ones I found. lol

But yeah, I feel ya. I'm all about earth tones myself.

I think the first link defaults to black and you have to select brown.

I just want some brown shoes that provide some protection!

you should get real boots instead of those vanity sneakers

I'm just trying to find something that has protection and is comfortable to wear for extended periods off the bike that looks decent with my business clothes.

You could try the REV'IT! Rodeo or Ginza boots. They're certainly more protective than a riding sneaker, but they're definitely "boots" and not "shoes." Also, they are quite expensive, but REV'IT! is a good brand, so they're probably worth it.

Brown motorcycle gear is really hard to find. Too many bikers are obsessed with looking "badass" in dark gear. I just gave in and got mostly black gear. Does hide the dirt though.

Interesting. I've got two pairs of boots (the classic harness boots, I think) in brown and black, and they've lasted 6 years...and going.

Leatherup is just a distributor, though, so it may be the brand you bought. Both my boots are XElement, which have (at the time I bought them, anyway) a good reputation.

two pairs of pants that were both xelement. stitching was terrible quality cotton that busted through in both cases. never tried their boots but i decided a brand isn't worth further investigation if they have such poor quality control

I've got those in black. Pretty good shoes. I pulled one eyelet out on one boot and the soles are pretty much smooth now, but they're two years old.

They're a typical big boot. Wearable and comfortable enough, but definitely not a sneaker.
