How tight is too tight?

I got alpinestars leather pants and they're pretty tight.

I can get the buttoned up, but the fit all over is tight.

Is there any chance the leather will stretch a bit? Any tips on getting them to fit better.

Do they ever stop squeaking?

leather is supposed to be tight, it will stretch. i don't know if it stops squeaking but you (I) stop noticing it after awhile...

They should be snug but comfortable and not inhibit movement. The leather will stretch a little. You could try leather conditioner to try to get them to break in quicker and eliminate the squeaking.

I can swing my leg over, but there is definitely some restricted movement. I guess I will have to wait and see if it gets better.

When most people I know get tight leather, they get the leather wet and then just wear em around the house. I soak mine usually in the shower. This will let the pants conform to you better. Yeah, hang em up after to let em dry.

Or... you could just wait until the first time you get caught riding in a hard rain. The pants will fit better after that.

I went out for another ride in the pants tonight. They felt much better! Plus I received SMX-5 boots I exchanged for a smaller size.

What a difference!

I did the same thing I do to leather hicking boots. I soak the min water and wear them until they dry, walking around as much as I can. I have found doing some chores around the house gets it done. Saddle soap may help is well but I don't want my leathers very soft, I like the support feeling.
