bzzzt.

Rationalization fail. More than half of all accidents happen within five miles of home.

You can get hurt just as bad on a local street as on the highway. Just ask Jiggles.

On the other hand, you have an opportunity to sample the good drugs if that happens.

Watch a video of any given lowside. Does the rider's butt slide along the pavement or not?

As the tailor said when seeing a piece of thread, "I think sew."

A good indicator of where you're likely to get rashed is the location of the kevlar in riding jeans.

Lol right. Didnt think this one through. Lmao Pretty much anything that goes wrong while riding will hurt anyways

First Gear HT Overpants in cold weather. Aerostich Roadcrafter pants in hot weather.

The Roadcrafters came to me when I was buying some parts bikes that weren't as (ahem) 'complete' as advertized. So, to save the sale the seller threw in a Stich 2-piece suit. It was just a bit too small. I can barely get away with weaing the pants with thin slacks under them.

I've worn street clothes a couple times riding my wife's scooter, and felt naked. Physics doesn't give a damn what you are riding, or where you are riding if skin meets pavement at a given speed.

Yup. And as soon as I can afford proper overpants, I'll be getting them. In the meantime, I have what I have.

Yes. Because my free secondhand chaps are absolutely going to sell for enough money to get me "proper gear".

Seriously, ride your own ride.

EDIT: Also, "Harley-ish"? Is that really the best you can do? No references to gay BDSM or anything like that? Come on, man, step up your game.

Yoga pants should be an option so some of our members can be completely honest

I'm obviously new here, but from what I've read around the forums so far I've already decided I'm just going to go with leather gear and be done with it. I know it's not a matter of if, but when I'm gonna go down. Just about went down on my 250 on Friday. All it takes is one person not paying attention to what they're doing and it's not gonna be pretty.

Jeans to commute, riding jeans + Tpro knee protectors on the freeway/twisties.

Not the smartest but I trade the safety for convenience. I can't peel off leather pants in the gas station bathroom at work every day.

Just ordered the AGV Monza jacket to go along with the AGV Willow pants. Anyone else have this combo? Curious to see how they zip together.
