New here. 88 250 black with red
Just aquired 88 in a trade. Looking forward to this forum!
Just traded for an old gs550. Ninja 250r. Story line. 1594 original miles on an 88'. It's been sitting in storage since 1990. New battery,test. All electrical is good and intact. It will need a thorough checking. But it fired on ether. I'll post progress as I bring it back to life. Last futzed with by DRT; April 16th, 2017 at 04:22 PM. |

Yep not too bad, I am pretty sure the original owner dropped it on the right side. Took out the Right peg and bracket, little scratch on the right side fairing. I think thats why he put it away and never rode it again. Scared him out of the sport. Thats a guess. But after looking it over, it's pretty sound. Made it run last night, purr's like a kitten. Fresh fuel and a little clean up of the petcock, carb and lines and,, zoom zoom. few more checks to make it road worthy but I think we have a winner!
