Your favorite noobs engine is knocking

Hello gentleman, you guys have always been the best in the past just wondering if anyone has an idea to what's going on. My engine in my 08 250 is knocking pretty loud I got some milky oil, and after taking a look at some other threads I took off the oil screen to look for any metal particles. I didn't find any at all so now with my experience in cars I'm thinking blown head or gasket? I just bought it as a project bike and have done two oil changes without riding it in between and still have some milkyness to the oil any suggestions would be awesome guys! Also my coolant seems to stay at the same level so I'm not sure where or how it could be mixing with the oil without the level dropping

Check the compression on both cylinders. You'll know for sure.

Definitely do you know what it's supposed to be with good comp?

Remember Billy...water does not compress! And that may be the knocking you are hearing...blown head gasket would allow water to find it's way into the cylinder head and crankcase. I would not run the engine anymore until the issue is resolved or you may do more damage...(i.e. cracked piston, bent rod, wrist pin or rod bearing etc.) Probably time to pull the motor and break it down!

I'll do a compression test and then maybe a leakdown hopefully it's not over yet as to breaking down the engine I'm not quite sure how to do that exactly I might give it a go tho I'll update shortly thanks guys!!

Well, at the veryleast, when you pull the plug's ck for moisture deposit's...that will tell all ! If there is moisture on the plug's then it is a blown head-gasket or worse, crack in the head...hopefully just gasket.
