Update: After some research I found another good HID mod for the newgen. Still looking for pregen HID mods. http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/show...ki-ninja-ex250 Here's one of the ex500 so I know the pregen is possible. http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/show...Retrofit/page1 Last futzed with by agentbad; November 22nd, 2013 at 11:54 AM. |

Will that acrylic shield hold the heat? Love your cat, Bob.

Looking really good!!!
Can you give me an idea of how I'd do that acrylic lens on my pregen? obviously the same vacuum forming process, but I'm not sure how to make/buy the setup. Would you be interested in doing it for me if I pay you and supply the OE lens for reference? The sill fluted lens really kills my cutoff. |

Ha, I wish I could take credit for this but it was done by a fellow redditor on the r/motorcycles subreddit. Apparently the lights run more efficient so even though they are brighter they put out less heat so it won't melt the acrylic. Here's the link if you want to run some questions by him. Pretty neat stuff.

A few of us have done retrofits here and we even have a couple DIY's in the sticky for Ninjettes. No need to venture off, Ninjette has a wealth of knowledge on the subject.
