"Wearing" your license plate?
Not that I'd ever do it, but for some reason the silly idea keeps popping back into my head each time I think about relocating the license plate, undertails, etc: is it legal to mount the plate to your jacket or helmet as long as it is lit with a white light? Just curious.

They did it on American Chopper the other night. I flipped it on at the end of the show to see what they built, and when he took the bike out for a ride, he just had a license plate on a wire and hung it around his neck facing backwards.

That would make for an interesting 1000 ways to die video. Decapitation by license plate.

I thought almost the same thing when I saw it. Looked like a wire coat hanger took, not some flimsy sting or something.

He should have used a break-away lanyard like they have for ID cards and such.

I can't understand the reasoning behind the American Chopper bikes. It looks like they purposely make the most uncomfortable bikes they can. Not to mention they look tacky as hell too.

OK, I just saw an EX250 Competition Werkes Fender Eliminator at a local shop for half off ($55) but I'm getting an undertail and still undecided as to my mounting options. This got me, once again, thinking about what I could do in the meantime. *sigh*
Do they make blue velcro? |
