Exclamation Need asap!!!

I'm in need of a oil filter cap, or housing ... Just the round base that it sits on , mine has cracked , and Im going on a trip very soon and motorcycle shops can only get them in a few days after I'm supposed to leave , if anyone has one lemme know asap and price , thanks!

Not sure if my picture will post , but I took a half ass pic of it

It's for an 09 ninja 250

Yea it's a crack ,oil is coming from it , wish it was a casting defect lol

That looks like the right one , I couldn't find any part numbers like u did , but it looks spot on, just wondering bout shipping time , I'm leaving next Thursday morning , does anyone ship like super Rush so I could get it on Wednesday? Lol

Usps is gonna charge like 60 bucks for 3-5 business days, but 20 for 6-10 days. I can ship from whoever you want, cuz you payin homiee. Lol

Lol, the joys of somthing going wrong right before a long ride ....

i think a thinner epoxy might be a better choice, something that will seep into the crack better than jp weld

A lot of epoxy failures are caused by poor surface prep. Clean it well and it should hold. If you have a rotary tool, I'd recommend cutting/grinding a shallow V into the casing over the crack.

I was joking tbh. But Alex makes a good good point. Try a thinner epoxy, and maybe jb weld over it. Even then, its iffy.

I got a few things to try , I'm gonna use the jb over it and use the jb putty for aluminum aswell once it's dry, it's such a minor crack but it's a bitch lol. Il let u guys know how it works , still hoping my part comes in on Wednesday tho

So, it worked , no leaks , nothing , rode for a few hours today to see if anything came loose etc .. It's all good , but I'm still hoping my part comes in by Wednesday lol, thanks again for the help guys

Ya I origionaly did, but they said its gonna be in friday, if I'm super lucky , then Wednesday ... However I leave Wednesday , so I couldn't risk it , that's why I was trying to get one
