Try bikebandit.com
When I was looking for a set for my SV they were the only ones that I could find selling a complete kit. |

Thanks Jono but already been there and tried that. I've been on every site I could think of and even asked racing teams and riders that still run 2 cylinders and no luck. I can find the head gasket and valve cover gasket but that is it.

You could try calling a dealer.
But when I did the top end on mine I just ordered everything independently from either my local dealer (so I could have it within 2 days) or ronayres.com microfiche (cheaper, but they take forever and I'm too impatient!) |

I can get the gaskets from dealer but they are each. No one seems to sell a complete kit for 07 or newer

Also, I'm 90% sure the head gaskets are the same from 1989ish to 2012. Meaning I think the part numbers are the same between the pre-gen and gen 1. I think. Sooooo if you find a happy kit it should apply to your bike. Definitely check the microfiche and make sure. |

Its a hell of a lot cheaper in a kit. 08 and newer engine kits I can get for less than $80 buying individually head gasket was $40, most the others are around $20 so $80 for the valve cover, clutch cover, lower block base, and the other one with the clutch then I think another $15-20 for the 2 around spark plugs. Its just half as much if I could actually find a kit. Hell I thought about finding an 08 motor and putting it in so parts are easier to find but I will get it if I have to pay twice as much. Used to that already its for my daughter and so far all of her gear has cost me more than my own does. But she is worth it she loves to ride and I want her safe as possible doing it

Great explanation of over torquing the rocker arms motofool. Not sure who was the last to pull this motor apart but they got aweful carried away torquing the valve block to the head and lower. Took some serious convincing to break them loose. One of the bolts was ruined it has a bent shaft so ordered new bolt with my gasket not taking a chance of it ending up cross threading in there

If you know the part numbers use absolute motorcycle parts. They are based in thailand and all parts are genuine Kawasaki. It took them 3 weeks to ship 60+ items to the uk and the price was roughly 1/3 of the dealers price.
