Connection cover concern

2010 ninja250, nearing 40000 miles.. This photo is taken in from above the gear cover. Can anyone tell me what the now exposed bolts in the middle of the photo are, and should I be concerned that their cover seemingly melted/rotted away? Seems to be the only connection cover that did this.. Thanks!

I'm seeing the positive cable to the starter motor with a failing rubber boot over it. No big deal, until you get a replacement boot just make sure you don't accidentally hit it with a wrench or something and ground it or you'll have fireworks. You could actually tape it up good with some electrical tape and get along fine, but if it were mine I'd probably get a new rubber boot.

Awesome. Thanks. She's getting old, and while I ride a lot, I don't know a lot, so just making sure. Appreciate it.
