Power commander FC for Ninja 250
Hello,
I'm wondering if I need anything else to adjust fuel in my 2012 ninjette. Is it enough to order a PCFC and put it on or do I need for example a O2- sensor eliminator? My Ninja is now in stock condition but among few other changes I would like to improve the air intake and build an exhaust system (done once before when I welded down a full exhaust to Yamaha yzfr125, it was pretty easy job and I didn't want to pay hundreds of euros for that). For confirmation I have the European FI version with fuel injectors and the PCV is more expensive than PCFC. And any ideas of the measurements of the perfect exhaust would be appreciated very much, I'm feeling the stock one is like drinking straw and the DIY pipe should be much bigger but don't know how much. Thanks for reading this or giving answers/thoughts about the subject. I know there's a Ninja 250 fitting PCFC but not much information of that combination so if anyone has it or may know something please answer to this thread. |

I think PCFC is better than V . It is newer and has some good features. Such as multiple-maps storage and ability to tune without needing connection to PC. No worry about O2 as you will be tuning WOT areas of map where O2 sensor is ignored.
The euro 250 with EFI has more HP-gains potential. Intake and exhaust mods with matching tune will get you ~15% increase while same mods on U.S. bike gets ~10%. |

Thanks for so quick help and confirmation, now I'm sure I'll buy a PCFC somewhere. https://www.amazon.com/Dynojet-Resea...rds=pc+fc17046 this unit says in its headline to be the right model and it's cheapest on the market also.

One more question: Does the same pcfc unit fit to 13-14- model 300 Ninja than 250?

Should be compatible for both models as they list the same part# FC17046 for both. The wiring harness connectors are same (2015+ is different). Just have to be careful about downloading the appropriate maps for each model from their website. Or better, install wideband-O2 with datalogging and make your own adjustments.
BTW, here's note from their website "Please Note that this unit does NOT work with any of the Dynojet accessories - SFM, Ignition Module, shifter, LCD." It doesn't have as many expansion options, so keep that in mind if you may want those features later. |

Ok, thanks! I don't think I need any of those another accessories so the pcfc will do. And since the pcfc maps can be adjusted 10% manually I think their website's maps are good enough.

Pod filters
Here is image of two things going to the original airbox, other is air temp sensor I guess? and other is a pipe that sucks air from the box. Same kind of thing lays at the bottom of the air box too, seems like they get air to somewhere in the engine.
And I'm going to take the stock airbox away (almost done) and put two universal model pod filters to the injectors. So the problem is what I should do with these two pipes that suck air from the box? Air temp sensor can be mounted in to the pod but do I have to drill holes for the two pipes too or get some really small filters from them? If somebody would even know what they are doing that would be big help. I guess sealing the pipes and not letting the air go in isn't a solution nor leaving them free. |

Trace where small hoses end up on other end. Might go to idle-valve and a MAP sensor?

The upper small hose seems to go to the cylinder head and lower hose to the engine too but to the gearbox or something. I`ve never heard that air would have to go neither of the places. When I had air box on and just had taken the upper hose I fired the engine, I noticed the hose sucked air and the engine sound came from the hose little louder

Ah, crankcase breathers... Common to install filters on those hoses when removing airbox.

Ok, thanks! I think I will find some small filters good for those breathers.
