You will be ok, as long as you are running bias ply tires front and back. Many others will disagree and recommend replacing both when replacing the original tires.

I ran a new BT45 on the rear with the stock IRC on the front for about 3 weeks. There were no "problems" but you will feel a big improvement once you change the front also.

its fine to have different brand of tires, but you NEED traction on the front, you dont NEED traction on the rear, so if your rear needs replacing, chances are so does your front. so replacing only the rear is probably a really bad idea.

i thought that fronts usually got like 2x the milage usually that rears do. my rears r past the wear bars but my front looks almost new. if the tread on the front is still good itd still be ok just to change the rear right?

just look at them. there are wear indicators and date marks. if the tire has dry rot, or is past its service life, replace it.
