Im stuck: removing the carbs
Well, i've got the bike stripped down as far as I ever have. I'm trying to remove the carbs. Tank is off, but now I have to move the air box back so I can pull the carbs off. I watched the DIY video, but that doesn't really help since I have the stock air box. How do I move the air box out of the way so I can pull the carbs out?

Unscrew the 4 screws attaching the carb to the air box and engine. I don't really remember but you should be able to slide it back at this point, don't think you are going to be able to move it far it is literally less than an inch. Make sure you pull out the carbs from the left side of the bike it will take some finagling. I hope you have small hands. Post pics if you have any specific problems.
Edit: by 4 screws I mean the round metal circles clamping the rubber gasket type things to seal the carbs to the engine/airbox. Sorry if I am vague I'm trying to go straight off memory from doing it 6 months ago. |
