turn signal help

okay so both my turn signals (front and rear) are 12v 23w but everytime i use my blinker a grinding noise happens where the turn signal relay is (and blink rly fast). do i have to replace the bulbs or could i replace just the turn signal relay? also would i have to replace a fuse or anything else? and would my bikes battery handle this?

reason id rather just replace those parts is because i cannot find a replacement thats 12v 10w.

I had a similar issue with my aftermarket signals. It's drawing too much for the thermal relay. Pop down to an auto parts store with your two prong relay and pick up an electric relay. The electric one has the stock sounding click and a steady slow blink.

Only downside will be the lights will continue blinking even if one is burnt out, whereas right now, the one not burnt will come on solid and not blink.

should be good to go then with those resistors on, maybe the relay u got was a bad one. try the tridon one i linked just ground the 3rd pin with some wiring and a ring connector.

Did you read the wiki link that akcalhoun posted? Did you ground the E pin by running a ground wire? Even if it's not a Tridon relay, it should still work the same way.

Or take then the specs of the one I sent you to show them what you want.

I'd say black to black & yellow and yellow to green but you may want to comfirm with the maker of the LEDs which is supposed to go to positive and negive then confirm on the bike the matching polarity with ether the wiring diagram or voltage meter.

I'm using All LEDs and it works fine, its made to ignore any resistance differences and always blink at the same speed.
