Jet Kits

So I've been reading up a bit on this stuff...Are jet kits really worthwhile to get for a 250 and are they necessary when I get a new exhaust from Two Bros or Yoshi or something?

yes. you're changing the amount of air the bike can pull through the motor with exhaust and intake mods, you need the jet kit to change the amount of gas it pulls in to match that change. otherwise you're going to run lean.

it will allow you to better tune your bike and smooth out the power curve.

Manoj - welcome to the forum! Our bikes tend to be a bit lean when we first get them, but most of us are able to fix that with a couple of washers on the needles... look for the shimming the carbs thread for ideas - it's a great fix until you do replace the exhaust

is there anyone here that added a yoshi slip on w/o doing any other modifications? If so, how does your bike run? I am looking to just upgrade the exhaust as well/

Yoshi recommends that you change jet settings if you get a slip on. I figured since I was going to have to change jet settings anyway might as well do the full system. Their pipe and the DJ jet kit, brought the bike to life. Plus the CF pipe looks slick too.
