For those of you who haven't seen it, here's a pic of the cards Kim (user noche_caliente) made a long time ago (second link above), which I've just been printing on my home printer.

Ninjette Business Card.png

Only tweak I'd like/suggest is removing the embedded white ninjette.org from the banner pic in the background, since it's printed at the top of the card. Less text-clutter.

pfft. I'm awesome, I can personalize them for those that know up front they want to get some and we could do some generics for the ones who want some later. It all depends a little on how many people want some and how many yall want to do total. I would probably want to try and keep them in blocks of a certain number so that I dont have to get someone to write a complicated script for the variable data.

Frankly, just about any card design we go with, I'm also in for 500-1000, so I have some to distribute as 'share stacks' to other/new members.

You should imply something about "ride it like I stole it in there that would be sick. I like the idea of being able to print it on index paper though it would save time money and the hassle

I'm in for 500 or so, pending the design (i like just about all of them though)

Patrick, what would the minimum order needed be for any one person?

I'd say keep it simple a mysterious to get em to come. Just the ninjette.org logo in that font and maybe a place to write your name in the forum... IDK when you put to many graphics it starts to look cheesy, IMO

But im just a noob what do I know.
I agree though. Keep it simple and classy. Nothing cliche or fast 'n furious. Not too word either.

I don't know if I'm too late to this party, but I do dig Carrie's design. It's trendy and not over the top and it can be put over almost any background to change it up. Gurkan read my mind with the friends you didn't know you had angle. Or "Just who/what you've been looking for." Then a "Member:" line and your screen name. I'm more of a writer than artist so...
"Where you ought to be"
"We know what you're about"
"250 degrees"
"We're all about it"
"Pride in your ride"

(black border is just so you can see the edge on your screen since it's a white background. Borders like that are a pain in the neck when printing your own cards because of the bleed-to-edge and lining it up)
I really like this. It looks official. The one Gurk made is good, but I dont necessarily like the quotes.

It will depend a little on how many we are doing. I just didn't want to have a bunch people asking for different numbers. I'm pretty flexible to be honest. If 20 people want 12 cards I'll make it happen. If 20 people want 500 or a 1000 I'll make that happen too. It just gets a little more difficult if 16 people want 500 and one wants 20 and another wants 10 another wants 100 etc.. Once a design gets selected and I can figure out how many will fit on a sheet we can start talking about what kind of numbers you guys want.

Everyone who wants to have input, create your own designs and post them saying FINAL DRAFT. Then we will start a thread with a poll, and choose which one we like best and Rys can print em off and distribute them according to each order. This would be for those that want a general card to get the ball rolling. This will also make it easier on Rys who would be doing us a huge favor. Wouldn't want to take advantage.

Maybe if you want your own custom design you can work it out with rys on a private level.

I will say we have until Monday September 5th to post our finals, and then we will commence voting on the 6th at the buttcrack of dawn.

Yays or Nays?

Yay.

Edit: Don't forget to tip so Rys can get his Ninja

If you guys have suggestions on tweaking/improving the one I did, PM me and I might be able to make them. I'm heading out of town tomorrow and all of next week, but I'll still have access to the web & my computer, if in a limited capacity.

Also, if you have great ideas, but don't have software/ability to make a mock-up, post the ideas here anyway whether in words or in something you designed in MS Paint... (Even if it says "Picture of 250R on a course with knee down goes here", for example) If it turns out to be a winning design, I can take that and put it together. I just don't want us all to lose out on something good because someone with a great idea doesn't have the software to create it!

Couple ideas, reposting the first one w/ a blank line instead of my name

3rd one I'd need to get a better pic of the throttle to put in there, but I'm working off of Google atm... If you guys like it, I'll just take a picture of my own and use it instead so it's better quality.

I think that's it for ideas for me for now. If I come up with others and have a chance to make them, I'll post them

Now that I'm back home, did this get anywhere while I was gone? Was looking through the forums and didn't see anything new on it, but that doesn't mean it isn't there...

Xanther, may I use your design to print out a couple for myself? It seems I've had quite a few people lately stop me to ask about my bike. Being able to hand them a card instead of just telling them about the forum would be so much more impressive!

Definitely! If you want me to put your name on it instead of a blank line, I can do that real quick too. Just let me know which card & what you want for a name.

That would be great if you could put my username, "Daniel_Malloy", on the card with the green ninja! I was planning to just photoshop it in, but it would be so much easier for you to just change it since you have the original. Thanks!

We need to include a tiny sticker with each pack of cards that goes in an agrees upon and discrete place so we don't waste cards on people who are already members.
