Need a few things.....

My son had an accident on his bike.

Of course the fairing is damaged. His bike is a 1999 ninja 250, green.

So I am looking for that, just the upper fairing. Also, left side blinker and right side mirror.

And......the bracket that hold the head light and the instruments.

and even the instruments, even though he did not damage his, the plastic back was broken from the bracket.

I would appreciate any help on this, including any links to potential places to find these items.

My son has only some road rash. The helmet kept him really safe.

glad to hear he's ok! I haven't seen too many part bikes for the older 250's, but ebay and craigslist would be a great place to start!
and while you're looking, you might want to help him find a better riding jacket and riding pants so he doesn't have road rash at all next time

It is not that he did not have them, it was that he was not wearing them. But thank you for the well wishes on how he survived.

He is only 15 and rolled after he hit the truck in front of him, into the oncoming traffic lane. but he ended up on his feet and moved to safety really quickly. Drivers in the other vehicles where motorcycle riders and they got out and took my son under their wing until my wife got there to handle things. Great bike community took over for sure. They treated him as if he were their own son. I am grateful for their care and help.

Steve,
I was lucky enough to have other riders help me out with my tumble as well - that's one of the best parts of our community - when there's a man down, it doesnt' matter what you ride, we do what we can to help each other out

Welcome Steve!

Sorry about your son! I am glad he was able to get help right away. I haven't any further suggestions than the others, checking craigslist as well as ebay. There are a lot of people that part out their ninjette's when something like this happens to them. So chances are the parts are out there.

Good luck.

Thanks for the well wishes.

If anybody can do a quick check on their local craigslist for me and post any links that come up and look interesting, that would be a huge help for my son.

This is a great forum, thanks in advance for anyone who checks it out for me. I am doing all the cities in Texas and will move to other ones as well.

He was really lucky this time around!! Hopefully he'll understand he has to wear the gear all the time, even if he's riding to a friend's house two blocks down...
