Mini Lighthouse Tour

The RAIN has finally stopped after three consecutive weeks of deluges here in NE Ohio! To celebrate I jumped on my 250 (2012) and headed on my personal lighthouse tour. Two easy catches were the Replica lighthouse at Vermillion and the real deal at Marblehead in Sandusky. Because I left late around 1pm I packed some clothes for an overnighter in case I ran late. Took I-80 to exit 140 and got off looking for Vermillion. What a cool little town with some nice babes sunbathing on very nice beaches. Ended up meeting a volunteer who made nice necklaces and bought one for my 6 year old grand daughter. Took Route 6 out of Vermillion to Route 2 which is a great road for making some time. Got off at 250 headed North to Marblehead..plenty of signs easy to find. When I got there and made my way to the lighthouse I found out it closed for tours at 6pm..I showed up at 6:15pm those park people long gone. Did have a opportunity to see the Ford Tri Motor majestically cruising towards Put in Bay. All in all about 310 miles in a short period of time up and back by 10:30pm and that includes sight seeing and food break. I'd encourage everyone to catch the lighthouse at Marblehead. Cool site and plenty of things to do as long as it's not raining. Enjoy the 4th and remember what this day is about INDEPENDENCE!

Sorry about pics maybe mods know how to rotate them??

Cool! Are you sure it was a lighthouse tour or a babe tour?
