Hmmm, Versys or Ulysses, or Tenere

With my '08 gone, and the wife's on the way out, I have no idea what to get!
Other than my CB550 project, I've never bought anything but a Kawasaki. The wife got her new '13 Versys, and I like it. I've had Versys on my mind for years, even though they are ugly.

Then I had a thought.... Buell. ulysses. 103 HP, fuel injection, lots of noise. Super tall bike, great ergos.

It sounds like people with both, love them both. People are saying both are pretty bulletproof. I have found Ulysses for 4-5000 And the leftover Versys are going for 5000.

I'm so torn. If I get either, I may sell the KLR, but get a better off road bike (Dr350 or something similar) ah, who knows! Lol

The tenere is nice, 9000 or so for a decent one. But....yamaha...lol

Just venting my thoughts here I guess. ..

Versys

Ulysses

DR350

Tenere

But then it's not tall, upright, and it doesn't have long travel suspension

What do you want to do now? You torn between getting two bikes or getting one in the middle?

Lots of good stuff, I'd just look around at what I could get the best deal on.

I'll be getting one of the bigger bikes. V-Strom is probably on the list as well.

When or if I sell my KLR, I would get something like the DR

I think the Versys is a cool bike, seems like the price is right on them now too if you can get a new one for that!

I like the Tenere, shaft drive, tubeless spoked wheels, supposedly better off-pavement manner than BMW R1200GS.
If I'm only allow to have one bike, Tenere would be on the list to pick from.

Yeah, I have a doit all bike....a street bike and a dirty bike is what I want to go to eventually. That would be my goal, some day. The tenere is a great bike. Just not sure I'm ready for that $$$$commitment

The S10 is FAR superior in just about every facet you can think of between the three bikes mentioned.

A no-brainer decision. Or look at the FJ-09.

Yamaha's are the way to go!

I like the versys or tenere of those 3...

Is a new versys an option...much better looking now.
If not then get the Tenere

I want to rode the **** out of it, not be worried about dirt or gravel. Carve corners like crazy, and keep up with the GS, strom, and hypermotard. The biggest problem is that I did that on my ninja 250 I just sold.
I just need something a bit more comfortable. I don't think I need a tenere as much as I would LOve one.

Well, if I get lucky, the bus sells this weekend, the ninja sells, and my blaze saddlebags sell. Then I have the cash to go get this 18,000 mile '12 Tenere in ohio for about $7000!

So, I sold everything I needed to, to have the money. But our schedules don't line up. I may have to fly and ride to bring back the Idaho bike! That could be cool!

why not check out the Honda CB 500 X. Friend has one and I was surprised at how well it handled and accelerated! Yamaha of warren has one with only a couple hundred miles traded on a Tenere. Someone could get that bike for a song and a dance.

330-847-7644 I believe is the shops number.

Yeah, the biggest problem there is it's such a small bike. I am not going to spend the money this time without it being the bike I WANT!

speaking of which.....

This is happening next weekend!

2012 Yamaha Super Ténéré! Holy crap, I've never paid this much for anything!

I decided it wasn't worth a major compromise when I had nearly the whole price saved. The new motto is, if you're going to do it, do it right. That's why the wife got her new bike, nd im getting mine!
