Color swap?

My buddy is looking at buying a bike. He is looking at a slightly used 250 his only aversion is that it is 09 green color scheme. I kind of like the green colors schemes and mentioned that if the plastics and tank are in similar condition to my bikes that maybe we could do a swap.

IDK seems like it could be a fun idea to get a little change, no?

I mean I like my black SE but it's not like it makes me wet or anything ya know?

thoughts anyone?

Same gen, same parts. Go for it.

If I had the pieces lying around, i'd love to swap between my candy lime green to the rich deep blue (Thunder blue?) color. In pictures I wasn't overwhelmed, but then I ended up with one of the cowls and felt it a sin to have sanded it down to repaint it. Love that color.

It's a good idea if you want to get a slower bike. Green bikes do 0-60 in roughly 7 minutes and 29 seconds. Downhill. With a tailwind.

I didn't take that into consideration, but thinking if I put enough stickers on it I can make up the power difference

What would happen if one of you "have to lay it down"?

Better clarifiy those thing before swapping anything...

Otherwise, if you want to tackle the hassle to change color, why not...

Even simpler, swap the whole bike... I know yours is a 2012, but beside that, they're identical...

Why would this matter? If you crash, you get replacement parts and fix it.

I think the rules are simply understood, it's in the unwritten man code book.

Plus it could be a permanent switch, no going back.

and as far as swapping bikes it is reasonable thought but mods make them non identical

You should only swap one side of the fairings. It's like having 2 bikes!!

Then what? Paint half the tank, the front cowling, and front fender with a funky blend design down the middle? And a license plate HARVEY?

Lol I hadn't considered that far into it. But yes, that's a terrific idea

Sometime, understood is not enough... Dont' know you or your friend, but better be clear if it's more of a loan than a permanent thing... Could lead to rude awakening in some case...

And, didn't knew that yours had some modifications...

So all is clear then...
