mine has pads. i have one of those vests, and IMHO with the price tag you would be better off getting a padded jacket.

that being said if you have the vest already go for it, and if you need a vest im looking to trade mine >=D

I'll give you the rubber seal from my broken headlights! Jk. Thanks for the input though. You're right about them being quite pricey. It's just that I'm watching an Icon jacket on eBay that's still at a low price. (waiting to snipe in of course, doubt I'll win though).

The other thing is with padded jackets, they're just a pain to walk around in casually such as at the mall or something. I like the look and the stares from people but they're kind of cumbersome. On the other hand, ATGATT also implies that convenience and comfort (to an extent) means little to gear that's meant to protect us.

i wear a leather jacket that was designed to be crashed in.

not some ****** piece of fashion that will disintegrate when it touched asphalt.

this is my leather jacket with all the pads including spine

cost me LESS then my icon field vest. 100$ shipped new, from a website, not ebay. it was on clearance and is a great jacket. took me about 2-3 months to find it, deals are out there but i agree with @alex.s buy gear thats made to save your ass, not just show it off ;P

Oh my, I want that.

EDIT: As of now, the only "Jacket" I have is a mesh one that's heavily padded. It does the job but the mesh is way too fitted and way too uncomfortable when I start sweating.
