I painted the front caliper yellow, with the John Deere gloss yellow. Sadly, it is too pale.

I have decided against attempting to have paint mixed, or stumble upon a matching yellow. It will never exactly match anyway.

I might just go the plasti dip route for all of the yellow bits now. It will be easier, and if I ever sell the parts off, I can just peel it, to reveal the original yellow color. Besides, I am tired of painting all of the parts for my other, concurrent build.

Yellows can be tricky. Sometimes a second coat will change the color and make it more saturated.

If it's not completely covered the color will be gray-ish and pale.

I have had yellows completely change color with another coat.

Great advice. I forgot to mention, that I applied 5 or 6 coats, to attain full coverage.

Just a few pics to illustrate the lack of color matching. In the photos, the caliper looks spot on, but in reality, it is noticeably lighter. In the store, the yellow nail polish looked a good match too, but it is too dark.

I ordered the yellow Plasti Dip today. At least the yellow will be consistent, when I "paint" it all.

Many times the color of paint in a clear glass bottle will be different when it's applied and dries.

I plasti-dipped the lower fairing. It looks like a better match in the photo, than in real life. I guess I can always plasti-dip the rest to match.
